Peter Southwick took his first professional photo as an early teenager, and he has never stopped. Throughout high school, college, and a career that took him from a small weekly newspaper to a staff position at the world’s pre-eminent wire service, his passion has been to produce pictures that tell a story. He brings that commitment to every photographic assignment, from weddings and bar mitzvahs to editorial and documentary work.
Peter was born and raised in the suburbs of Washington DC, came to the Boston area for college, and has made his home in New England for almost thirty years. He and his family divide their time between their home in Arlington MA and a second home in Boothbay ME, where they stay as long as busy schedules allow. Outside of family and photography, his passions are golf, kayaking, and baseball.
